December 4th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Our prep class will be carried out as a typical day in the studio.
The 2-hour prep class will include:
- Movement concepts such as; use of resistance and extension
- Foundations of dancing on camera
- Combo - That will be filmed for dancers to take home
- Guided improv cypher
In doing so, we are able to aid dancers’ receptiveness to learning skills outside of their comfort zone, taking corrections and the ability to knowingly apply them, demeanor in a class setting, and their all-around poise. We want to trust that our future dancers will uphold their professionalism when booking dance jobs and masterclass mentors work with them.
WHAT TO BRING?
- Socks (i.e. Nike socks)
- Ballet Shoes
WHAT TO WEAR?
We encourage our dancers to express their personality through their classroom attire, though it must be activewear that can be easy to move in.
For ballet and technique, dancers must wear tight clothing such as; a leotard, sports bra, or form-fitting crop top.
For the combo and improv, dancers should wear what makes them most confident.
You will be updated on how your dancer's experience went. This is to help keep you in the loop, and facilitate open communication when needed at any time in the future.
We welcome parents/guardians to come meet us, check out the studio, and have any questions answered AFTER class has been completed. We have a NO MOM POLICY during class hours, in which the studio (including the front room) will be completely closed off to parents.
We will provide our Welcome Packet, which includes more information about the teams, studio policy and etiquette, current tuition rates, opportunities, and more.
